Popular Kenyan TV station KBC Channel 1 on Thursday hosted Gengetone trio Thee Exit Band, for an exclusive interview on their Entertainment Thursday segment.
During the interview, Thee Exit Band, who are famously known for their role in Vic West’s blockbuster jam which has over 17M YouTube views, opened to viewers all about their music career, detailing the challenges and successes they have encountered along their musical journey.
They talked to the host Mike Gitahi about their musical journey, detailing the successes and obstacles they overcame to get where they are.
The victories Thee Exit Band talked about during the interview include releasing successful jams like ‘Popo’ ft. Teslah, ‘Love’, ‘Ghetto’, to mention but a few, plus their massive collabo ‘Kuna Kuna’ with Vic West, Fathermoh, Savara and Brandy Maina, among others.
Besides the successes however, Thee Exit Band also mentioned some of the challenges they have faced along the way like the difficulty they faced when it came to penetrating the mainstream Kenyan music industry, and the endless financial constraints when it comes to investing in their music.
However, they revealed that some of these challenges reduced remarkably after they signed up with Black Market Records.
Thee Exit Band comprises three artists; Maxwell Otieno, Meletas Javan Juma and Jovah, whose wish to continue the legacy by bringing you the best love songs ever from Kenya.
