By Brenda Ochwald. Ultimately, “Fertilizer” is a distinct, fun single. This collaboration has been a long time coming, and Daddy Andre and Nina Roz did not disappoint with their recent release. With Daddy Andre leading the way in the first verse, the duo goes back and forth on the chorus, with the crowd in the background adding to the excitement. Nina Roz’s second verse is a standout, and it’s clear that the two artists have great chemistry. Fertilizer’ rides an umptempo, afropop-inflected acoustic groove — and has proven a pretty easy find on radio and streaming. It’s no surprise that the song is already trending on YouTube and other digital streaming platforms. It’s great to see the two artists come together and create such an amazing piece. Fans across Africa have been eagerly anticipating this collaboration, and it’s safe to say that it was worth the wait.
