Why “Kuna Kuna” Is Still Good.

By Brenda Ochwald. The Kenyan 2022 anthem has just racked up 20 Million streams on YouTube. The song is by music producer Vic West, Brandy Maina on the first verse, Thee Exit Band on chorus, Fathermoh on the second verse and Savara on the third verse. One million plus streams on Spotify and over 19 million streams on Boomplay, Kuna Kuna is still going strong. It is characterized by its childish dance and vibrant chants on the chorus. It is a pretty nondescript hit that is pleasant and even winsome. However, the song’s success can be attributed to its special saucy dance routine that took social media, especially TikTok, by storm. The song’s video features the artists among a number of celebrities who took to the streets to dance the song out. “Kuna Kuna” is still a good song that is worth listening to. Do stream “Kuna Kuna” by Vic West, Brandy Maina, Thee Dxit Band, Fathermoh and Savara on YouTube or any digital streaming platforms there. https://youtu.be/H059rrXKX1s
