Kenyan musician Teslah’s latest music video ‘Situationships’ carries a powerful message for the whole world, especially for women in toxic relationships, and it’s because of this that the project is garnering attention from various parts of the globe.
‘Situationships’ is a song through which Teslah is out to bring to light the predicament of several women in relationships who are enduring mistreatment at the hands of their men, but have no avenues of seeking redress.
She is here to speak for these voiceless women by highlighting the various situations of their relationships, hence the title of the song ‘Situationships’, because every relationship is in a different situation from the others.
Besides being a very thrilling jam with captivating beats, the salient feature of ‘Situationships’ is that Teslah’s objective is to raise mindfulness amongst women in toxic relationships so that they can be fully present and aware of where they are, who they’re living with, and what they need to do get out of an abusive situation.
Because of this, it’s not by luck or chance that the ‘Situationships’ video is being streamed by over 95K fans on YouTube just four days after its debut; it’s simply because the song carries a very vital message for thousands of people who are paying attention to it.
