The film audience in Kenya has been immensely captivated by ‘Dancing Shadows’, a short film by Black Market Films, which is being streamed by over 34K people on YouTube and counting.
‘Dancing Shadows’ is getting more intriguing every day and as you read this, several fans are asking for Part II of the film, while others are urging the producers to make it a TV series.
“This is going to be a great series!! Part 1 was fire!! Can’t wait for P2….” A viewer only identified as @EmpressTalk commented after watching ‘Dancing Shadows’ on YouTube.
The film is about Amah, a determined and resilient 22-year-old dancer, who juggles caring for her sick mother while striving to make a name for herself in the dance world, with her close friend Lesley.
In a twist of events however, Amah shockingly learns later that her friend Lesley is romantically connected with her father Fidel, who has been supporting her financially even though he abandoned his family and ailing wife!
The ugly truth is revealed in a dramatic confrontation when Lesley introduces her sponsor (Fidel) to Amah, who can’t take in the shock, disappointment, anger and anguish all at once, so she breaks down.
‘Dancing Shadows’, which was created by Marvin Okoth and Alex Henry, stirs among others; Sheila Mumbi, Lucy Miricho, and Joe Clifford, with Brenda Ochieng as Production Designer, and Cedric Singleton as Executive Producer.
