Gengetone star Fathermoh, who has a sizzling video dubbed ‘Gido’ ft. Ndovu Kuu, Joefes, Scar Mkadinali and Thao, scooped the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award in the Radio 254 Awards held in Nairobi, Kenya, over the weekend.
Fathermoh is one of the artists that have redefined Kenyan music in recent years mainly because his songs, many of them club bangers, appeal to millions of youths.
In recognition of his massive contribution to Kenya’s music industry Radio 254 posted thus on Instagram about Fathermoh’s award;
“This was not on the list as a category but we felt that @fathermohtv deserved an award and “BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST OF THE YEAR” was truly meant for him! Your talent, hard work, and dedication have captured hearts and set a new standard in the industry. Here’s to many more milestones ahead!”
We can’t agree anymore or less with this, because besides ‘Gido’, which boasts over 470K YouTube views, Fathermoh is the brain behind several Kenyan hits like ‘Kudade’, ‘Kaskie Vibaya’, ‘Dai Dai’, ‘Statue’, ‘Beshte Yangu’, the list is endless.
Don’t forget that all of Fathermoh’s music is available on YouTube and Digital Streaming Platforms; tap the link to stream ‘Gido!’
