Time has come for famous Kenyan singing group the Mbuzi Gang, who are behind popular hit ‘Shamra Shamra’ to get appreciated for their musical works.

In a bit to acknowledge their immense contribution to the Kenyan music industry, the Mbuzi Gang have been nominated twice in the Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) 2022.

The Mbuzi Gang have been nominated in two categories which include; Best Group of the Year- for their ‘Shamra Shamra’ remix and in Best Group of the Year for their collabo with the Rico Gang dubbed ‘Miondoko’.

With two full albums dubbed Three Wise Goats and Kelele, the Mbuzi Gang have over the years proved to all doubters a great force on the Kenyan music scene, reason why they were duly nominated for this year’s  PMVA.

 They made headlines after their ‘Shamra Shamra’ became a sensation on YouTube by garnering over 8.9M views, which prompted them to do a remix for the song, featuring various artists from around East Africa.

Some of the artists they featured on the ‘Shamra Shamra’ Remix include; Felistar, John Blaq, Wyre, Naiboi. Gabu. Frasha and Kristoff.
