Spotify Features ‘Kuna Kuna’ Star Vic West On Famous Nomad Playlist

It is no longer news that ‘Kuna Kuna’, an explosive jam by Vic West featuring Fathermoh, Thee Exit Band, Savara and Brandy Maina is now the biggest song in East Africa that is playing in over 144 countries!  

The news is that Vic West, who is the mastermind of this song, continues to rise in global music rankings and attracting the attention of music enthusiasts world over.

Besides being nominated in five categories in this year’s Pulse Music Videos Awards (PMVA) because of ‘Kuna Kuna’, Vic West is already featuring on digital platform Spotify’s famous Nomad Playlist.

 It should be noted that the Spotify Nomad Playlist is one of the most famous playlists lists in the world and this is a great milestone for Vic West.

According to the latest statistics from Spotify, Vic West’s ‘Kuna Kuna’  attracted 87K Streams,   31.9K Listeners within 4.6K Hours from 144 Countries, with the song being played 54, 861 times within the first month of its release.

Well, this is no easy fit, especially for African artists and to express his appreciation, Vic West wrote thus on Instagram, Tuesday; “I would like to appreciate every single one of you who took their time to go stream my art. Thank you so much for making this year the best for me. I truly appreciate yall. Thank you to @spotifyafrica @spotify for this. #spotifywrapped #2022ArtistWrapped.”

Moreover, this comes at a time when ‘Kuna Kuna’ is still trending on YouTube, with over 5.1M views and still counting, a record that few African artists have managed to imprint in the books of history.
