The Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) Black Market Records Cedric Singleton, who flew to East Africa a few weeks ago, is Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, where he went on a media tour.
During this media tour, Singleton has visited various media houses, chief among these being popular Tanzanian media outlet Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) studio, which operates Wasafi FM, Wasafi TV and a record label.
Singleton, who has been in Tanzania for several days now, visited Wasafi FM and Wasafi TV on Thursday, where he had a one-on-one with the presenters and the management of both stations.
The main objective of this media tour, according to Singleton, is to interest Tanzanian media outlets into paying attention to music done by artists signed under Black Market Records and to ensure that they give it massive airplay.
By the time Singleton left Wasafi Studio the management and staff were in tandem with his objective of giving Black Market Records music the much-needed airplay.
The radio and TV stations are operating under Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), a Tanzania-based record label founded by Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz.
Besides Wasafi Studio however, Singleton also visited Clouds FM, a popular online radio station in Tanzania, where he cordially interacted with both the staff and management, who hailed him for running a very successful record label.
By the time he arrived at Clouds FM Vic West’s blockbuster jam ‘Kuna Kuna’ was playing live on air, which greatly impressed him.
It should be noted that Black Market Records has over time signed up a number of artists from Tanzania, among them being Nezo B, Dinari, to mention but a few.
