Ghanaian rappers AGS Remedy and AGS Rapido have put meaning to the saying that ‘Music knows no boundaries’, thanks to their new jam dubbed ‘Alright’.
‘Alright’, which premiered in Ghana a few days ago, is already in Uganda, where it is being accorded massive play on local TV stations.
There are several Hip-hop enthusiasts in Uganda who have since treated ‘Alright’ to a very warm reception, especially because many of them identify with the vibe in this song.
This is a typical example of Ghanaian music being taken to the rest of the world, thanks to Remedy and Rapido, who are hoisting the Hip-hop mantle in Ghana.
Based on the song’s performance during the two weeks following its release, there is no doubt about whether the rest of the world will embrace ‘Alright’ or not, because it is a song that has something for everyone.
This is especially so because ‘Alright’, which has harvested over 52K so far, is a classic hustler’s anthem that appeals to millions of youth around Africa, especially those living in the ghettos and doing whatever it takes to survive.
