It had been long since the Gengetone scene witnessed a track as massive as ‘Napenda Wote’, which is done iPhoolish and Unco JingJong, featuring Fathermoh, Joefes and Thee Exit Band.
The volatility which ‘Napenda Wote’ unleashed on the Kenyan entertainment landscape is yet to be witnessed, because the jam is creating a cultic following of sorts ever since it dropped.
‘Napenda Wote’ has turned out to be a monstrous hit around East Africa after exhibiting the ability to post over 10K YouTube views daily, currently at over 56K views, within the first five days of its release.
This astounding performance has left thousands of music pundits acknowledging what a chartbuster it is, and giving props to artists who hatched the idea to do this track.
The ability by Mbuzi Gang to connect with their audience on a deeply emotional level, coupled with the vocal acrobatics of Unco JingJong and the hearty feelings infused into the jam by Thee Exit Band have made ‘Napenda Wote’ an all-time masterpiece.
