At a tender age of eleven, Marck Don legally identified as Mwansa Bazil had written lyrics for one of the best artists from Zambia Macky 2 and Tanzania’s very own Mr. Nice. As we trawl and prowl, you’ll discover the obstacles he has faced and why he wants to exclusively pursue music from now hence forth.

Marck Don was born in Zambia in 1999, finished his grade 8 in Chingola Primary School before joining Kabundi School for further education. At fifteen years of age, he began now to write his own music, performing at various events locally and making a name for himself. He took a break and concentrated more on playing football. This led to a stagnation of his art and hence he backslid.

Marck Don has been a lover of the art. “Music is the way I use to express myself, it gives me company when I am alone.”

Black Market Records is a global record label that has gone around to recruit the best kind of musicians and Marck Don is more than thrilled to join the family.

Marck Don famous hits are Shoko like Shaka featuring Chef 187 and Yeyeyeye featuring Yceleb.

On this Q & A interview, I asked him if he is contented with the state of music in Zambia. His response was that Zambian music is not heard enough and his opportunity to be signed with a global record label is the Genesis of greatness. He hopes to represent his country at international levels.
