Budding Ugandan musician Riff has released the live session video for his debut single ‘Uganda Empya’ featuring Shy Bwoy, which is now available on YouTube.
Directed by Shone Di Bwoy, with Cedric Singleton as executive producer, the ‘Uganda Empya’ live session is a very impressive piece that officially catapults Riff and Shy Bwoy onto the Ugandan music scene.
With ‘Uganda Empya’, Riff, who is part of the Z-Generation, basically paints a picture of a brand-new Uganda, where people can enjoy themselves from dusk till dawn 24/7, without any inhibitions whatsoever.
It’s a captivating Afro-pop track with a target audience of mostly the youth, since they are the ones that envision a new Uganda, which won’t tie them to the challenges their predecessors endured in the past.
It is worth noting that although he teamed up with Shy Bwoy on this project, Riff is originally a member of Ugandan choreography group the Zari Dancers Africa.
His debut studio project ‘Uganda Empya’ now bears witness to his unwavering dedication to taking his music career to another level and, based on this track, he is not very far from achieving that.
