Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to declare that Black Market Records is officially the best label in East Africa!
This declaration was made during the Radio 254 awards ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya, over the weekend, where Black Market Records scooped the award for Best Music Label of 2024.
With a legacy of producing club bangers and several hits across the region, Black Market Records was voted for the award by thousands of voters across East Africa, who appreciate the label’s contribution to the music industry over the years.
It is important to note however that the Radio 254 online awards included other categories in which various winners, many of them artists, walked away with accolades and below is the full list of winners;

Record Label of The Year – Black Market Records
Rapper of The Year – Breeder LW
Arbantone Artist of The Year – RANZSCOOBY
Artist Putting Kenyan On The Map – Sofiya Nzau

Radio 254 is a Kenyan digital platform that operates a radio station and other activations aiming to highlight, appreciate and promote East African music, plus all stakeholders in the industry.
