It is true that Uganda and Rwanda share a lot of things in common; from cultural backgrounds to environmental settings and history, these two countries are only separated by borders.
However, Ugandan artist Jsan Bouy has literary brought the two countries together with his latest music video ‘Nshakukunda’, which features renowned Rwandan musician Sean Brizz.
‘Nshakukunda’ is the latest unifying factor between the two countries, musically speaking, because the song is playing in both Rwanda and Uganda and is narrowing the boundaries of both.
It should be noted that Rwanda has since embraced ‘Nshakukunda’ whereby the song is setting massive airplay on TV and radio stations in the country, just as it is doing in Uganda.
With ‘Nshakukunda’ Jsan Bouy now has the attention of Ugandan and Rwanda music enthusiasts across East Africa, especially because the song is blended with both Luganda and Kinyarwanda lyrics.
It now becomes obvious that Jsan Bouy stands higher chances of becoming an artist who will take Ugandan music to the rest of the world, if he continues on this trend.
