Kenyan producer and musician Vic West’s new video ‘Kuna Kuna’, which features Fathermoh, Thee Exit Band, Brandy Maina and Savara is currently amongst the Top 100 Kenyan songs on YouTube.
The latest YouTube rankings indicate that ‘Kuna Kuna’ ranks at No#02 amongst the hottest Kenyan videos, an indication that it is an all-time classic.
This YouTube ranking comes at a time when ‘Kuna Kuna’ is being streamed far and wide, with over 2.2M views now and still counting.
Produced by Vic West and directed by Lozh, ‘Kuna Kuna’, which appeals to thousands, nay, millions of fans because of its simplicity and niceness, is rocking fans both up and downtown.
With ‘Kuna Kuna’, Vic West makes it evident that Kenyan music or even music in general has evolved over the years from the traditional explicit content that stereotyped music to simple, rhythmic vibes and captivating choreography.
Actually, ‘Kuna Kuna’ is the kind of song that can be aptly described as the ultimate piece of family entertainment because it doesn’t carry any restricted content like violence, drugs, alcohol, or sex, which usually characterize most music videos.
