Diverse and multi-talented Kenyan producer Vic West’s smash hit ‘Kuna Kuna’, which features Fathermoh, Savara, Brandy Maina and Thee Exit Band continues to get bigger every day that dawns.
After topping music charts in several countries for months, ‘Kuna Kuna’ now boasts of over 16M YouTube views; that is without mentioning the million views on digital streaming platforms!
This is another record-breaking milestone for Vic West and all the other artists on the track, because no other Kenyan musician can claim to have made it this far.
This collaborative track, which highlights Kenya’s great music potential, is so diverse and it’s something most people were definitely not ready for, reason why the song took everyone by surprise.
Still rocking Gengetone fans across the world, ‘Kuna Kuna’ has since recorded Vic West’s name in the books of Africa’s greatest music producers and artists, because he is the main architect of the project.
Actually, while speaking on the VIP Access Podcast hosted by Anyiko Woko on YouTube this week, Vic West revealed that he was inspired to do ‘Kuna Kuna’ after hugging a babe with a nice waist.
Well, it is apt to state that his inspiration has since materialized into something bigger and better than he had anticipated.
If you haven’t streamed ‘Kuna Kuna’, now is the time to click the YouTube link, so that you can be a part of this great African history.
