Gengetone artist Odi Wa Muranga has a special message for all bar-hoppers in his latest offering dubbed ‘Kwa Bar’, which features Fathermoh and Harry Craze.
Already causing a storm on Spotify, Mdundo and other digital platforms, ‘Kwa Bar’ is simply a song dedicated to partiers and everyone who knows that life’s too short not to party.
The song’s title is coined from a famous Kenyan phrase ‘hapa ni wapi…’ which can be loosely translated to mean; ‘Where is this…’ and the reply is ‘Kwa Bar’, meaning ‘we are at the bar’.
We all know that being at the bar means popping bottles, grooving and enjoying all sorts of merrymaking; that’s exactly what Odi Wa Muranga, Fathermoh and Harry Craze sing about in this jam.
Actually, with ‘Kwa Bar’, a song that mirrors the life most Kenyan youth live, Odi wa Muranga has everyone appreciating Gengetone music and the direction that he’s trying to steer the genre, because he has proved that to have potential to produce songs that resonate well with almost everyone.
