Fathermoh is so far the best team player in his singing group, Mbuzi Gang.
He has gone out of his way to feature bigwigs in the music industry on his singles and has so far attracted a larger fan base all across.
He’s had his music produced by the likes of Vic West and Mavo on The Beat, who are among the best producers in the country.
His music videos have had great visuals with each scene relating to the previous one; visuals that you would want to watch repeatedly.
His nickname, The Hook Master, is based on his known ability to craft proverbial lyrics. Each of his lyric phrases will always rhyme, be fun and humorous.
A good example would be his yet to be released single dubbed ‘Kaskie Vibaya Huko’. Just from the title you are already intrigued. Wait till you listen to the hook, which is hilarious and catchy too.
Well, the song is on its way and we all can’t wait to listen to yet another banger from Fathermoh.
His other recent releases like ‘Marafiki’ and ‘Chunli’ are also a perfect definition of a great addition to the Gengetone world.
To start off with ‘Marafiki’; I mean the colour grading was just a match to the song’s theme and spurs party vibes. From the choreography to Fathermoh and his friends holding up tumblers filled with drinks, the video is killer. The storyline was well crafted and is in line with the lyrics. This just describes how creative Fathermoh is on his songs and how he is positively impacting the Kenyan music industry.
‘Chunli’ on the other hand, is a song that features Kenyan rappers Khaligraph Jones, Boutross and Smady Tings.
It has that hip-hop vibe from Khaligraph, some ‘sheng’ from Smady Tings and a clean drip from Boutross. Its unique beat has it categorized as a club banger and you can check it out on YouTube to feel the real vibe.
Fathermoh is having it all musically and a listen to one or two of his songs will get you hooked.
Fathermoh was born in Nairobi and his real name is Moses Othieno.
On regular days, he pictures himself to be an actor or some sort of entertainer.
He joined the Mbuzi Gang crew in 2019 completing the triangle and has been shining ever since. Apart from having a secretive life, he really is funny.
Together the crew have managed to be the first gengetone group to perform outside Kenya alongside Jose Chameleon and other great artists.
They have also performed alongside DJ Maphorisa on his tour concert in Kenya.
They now have a new video dubbed ‘Zoza’, which features Uganda rapper Navio and Kenyan ace producer Vic West.
