Kenyan Gengetone groups Rico Gang and Mbuzi Gang have landed a nod in the East African Entertainment Awards (EAEA) for their massive collabo ‘Miondoko’.
A song that took the Gengetone scene by storm before it went viral on Tik Tok, ‘Miondoko’ is nominated in the category of People’s Choice – Best Kenyan Sound Single.
However, this nomination doesn’t come as a result of luck or goodwill of the EAEA organisers, but by merit, because it is well-deserved for ‘Miondoko’.
This is because ‘Miondoko’ is one of the few Kenyan songs that are performing exceedingly well on the airwaves, streets and on the internet.
With over 3.5M YouTube views and still counting, no one can fail to acknowledge the impact of ‘Miondoko’ on the Kenyan entertainment scene, because the jam turned out to be a masterpiece when no one least expected it.
No wonder it is still one of the biggest songs raving up the party not only in Kenya but even across its borders.
Voting for ‘Miondoko’ in the EAEA 2023 started on April 10th till June 10th, 2023 and all you have to do is click the link below for instructions on how to vote:
