Two East African singing groups Rico Gang and Mbuzi Gang are taking Kenyan music to the rest of the world, thanks to their relentless efforts.
This comes after their song ‘Miondoko’, which was released a few weeks ago, reaching as far as Asia, where partiers are grooving to it.

‘Miondoko’, which has so far attracted over 1.2M YouTube views and still counting, is rocking airwaves and blazing at night clubs in Taiwan.
Partiers in Taiwan excitedly grooving to ‘Miondoko’ even though most of them don’t speak Swahili.
This is the real meaning of the phrase ‘Music knows no boundaries’, because not being a Swahili-speaking nation doesn’t stop the people of Taiwan from enjoying ‘Miondoko.’
This is a very huge milestone for the Rico Gang because it means ‘Miondoko’ has higher chances of spreading to China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and other Asian countries.
It should also be noted that ‘Miondoko’, which is currently one of the most streamed videos on YouTube and digital platforms, is one of the Kenyan songs that have so far attracted thousands of Tik Tok dance challenges, perhaps the reason why the video is spreading far and wide.
If people in Taiwan can groove to ‘Miondoko’, how about you?
