Ugandan musician Nina Roz, who has a hot single ‘Onoozina’ is up in arms with the leaders of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF) headed by fellow artist Eddy Kenzo, who she says harbours ulterior motives instead of working for the progress of the music industry.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV presenter Brian Macona, who hosts the UnCut Show, Nina Roz, who was at a function in Kampala, revealed that the UMF is headed by people who intend to push personal motives instead of taking the music industry to the next level.
Asked why she wasn’t among the musicians who went to meet President Yoweri Museveni at State House, Entebbe, who reportedly gave them a boost of about Shs5Bn, Nina Roz said; “The problem is that the leadership of UMF doesn’t want to work with all musicians in their agenda but opt to deal with those who share the same selfish motives like them.”
Leaving the disagreements in UMF aside however, let’s not forget that Nina Roz, who is thrilling her fans across the country with ‘Onoozina’, has always advocated for the rights of all Ugandan musicians to equitably benefit from their creative works.
