Celebrated musician Nina Roz, who has out a thrilling single titled ‘Onoozina’, has called upon all Ugandan musicians to join the current fight against corruption in the country, saying that the rampant corruption is adversely affecting the music industry.

Nina Roz, who is one of Uganda’s most enterprising female musicians, made the remarks during X (Twitter) Space themed; ‘Uganda Corruption Conundrum: A Talk With Nina Roz And Aziza’, which was held on Tuesday evening and attended by among others dancehall artists Ziza Bafana and Sir Dan Magic.

“The corruption in Uganda is affecting us so much that some of us feel like leaving the country or denouncing our names,” Nina Roz said during the X Space, adding; “The situation is so appalling and mainly affects us the young artists, because the so-called ‘big artists’ don’t care and all they do is support the corrupt system.

Nina Roz noted that the corruption in Uganda has frustrated the music industry so much that even the Uganda Music Federation (UMF) the government coerced artists to join under the guise of supporting the industry has since collapsed because all the artists that manage it are agents of corruption.

“People like Bebe Cool and others in that league of artists don’t care about young artists; all they care about is making deals with the people that oppress us,” Nina Roz retorted during the X (Twitter) Space.

She went on to say; “We hoped they would help us to build the industry but little did we know that they were just focused on getting something to feed their families with and getting the funds that made them, because they have nothing to lose! A person like Bebe Cool doesn’t lose anything; his children are well-off, studying in good schools, yet the music he sings is consumed by the poor Ugandans…”

Well, if you missed the X (Twitter) Space, our Paparazzi have shared some recordings for you but as you listen to them don’t forget to stream Nina Roz’s jam ‘Onoozina’ on YouTube by tapping the link above!
