Budding Ugandan artist Riff has out a new single dubbed ‘Uganda Empya’, featuring Shy Bwoy, which has since gotten everyone talking.

Released a few days ago on YouTube, ‘Uganda Empya’ is sparking off debates everywhere it gets played, making listeners agree to disagree about it, because it is increasingly becoming a centre of controversy.

In ‘Uganda Empya’, Riff and Shy Bwoy envision a ‘new Uganda’ which is free of all kinds of political, economic and social strife; the kind of ideal country that everyone would like to live in, where people enjoy their lives without fear or favour to anyone and party 24/7.

A song mainly meant for planned kids and immunized Bazukulu, ‘Uganda Empya’ is likely to become a major breakthrough for Riff, especially because it is the studio project that kickstarts his career as a solo artist.

It should be noted that prior to releasing this song, Riff was initially a member of renowned Ugandan music and dance group the Zari Dancers Africa, which is popular for doing dance videos for songs done by various artists from around East Africa.

Being his debut solo project, ‘Uganda Empya’ is already exhibiting a very promising future, based on its performance on YouTube so far, and if all goes as planned, we are likely to see another Ugandan music star in Riff.
