Celebrated Kenyan gengetone star Exray Taniua, who is signed to Black Market Records, is set to headline president Dr. William Samoei Ruto’s inauguration ceremony, which is slated for Tuesday September 13th, 2022.
This comes after the Supreme Court in Kenya on Monday declared Dr. Ruto, of Kenya Kwanza party, as the winner of the recently concluded presidential elections, after he beat his stiff competitor Raila Odinga, of the Lazimia Umoja party.
Kenya’s Supreme Court upheld Ruto’s victory in the August 9 presidential election, ending weeks of political uncertainty and delivering a blow to challenger Odinga, who had alleged fraud in the poll.
It should be noted that Ruto, who was massively elected by Kenyans, used Exray Taniua’s famous ‘Sipangwingwi’ song as his official campaign.
He went a step further by doing the ‘Sipangwingwi’ remix with Exray Taniua, which was treated to massive reception by millions of Kenyans.
With ‘Sipangwingwi’, Ruto endeared himself to several Kenyans as the ‘Hustle-in-Chief’, a slogan that enabled him to garner lots of support.
It is thus in order that Exray Taniua, who is Ruto’s favourite artist, is to headline his inauguration ceremony as the main artist for the event.
