Kenyan vocal goddess Teslah has stormed the music scene with a fresh video titled ‘Situationships’, which she released on YouTube today, causing a stampede among her fans.
‘Situationships’ is a song about two lovers, a man and a woman, whose relationship has gone so bad that it results in extreme domestic violence, following a bitter quarrel between them.
A song that mirrors the kind of relationships most people have nowadays, ‘Situationships’ is a masterpiece in which Teslah delivers a message that scores of lovers will easily relate to.
It is a song through which she speaks for all women across the world who are suffering silently in toxic relationships without any hope of ever being saved from the situation they are in.
In other words, Teslah takes it upon herself to describe the situation of most people’s relationships, hence the title ‘Situationships’, which was coined from two words; ‘relationships’ and ‘Situations’.
Keep in mind however that this jam is the title track for Teslah’s new EP ‘Situationships’, a compilation of 8 powerful jams, which is dropping on YouTube and digital platforms any time from now.
