Exceptional rapper Unspoken Salaton, who has in rotation a new EP dubbed The Audacity, continues to cement his position in the Kenyan music by dropping dope jams back-to-back.
Although fans have already been introduced to the eight tracks featured on the Audacity EP, listening to them in Salaton’s chosen order helps define the tone of his latest studio project.
The fast-burning intro helps paint a vivid soundscape, directly leading into ‘Katika’, the second track.
His unique vocals guide listeners through a familiar path, as he croons about having fun and dancing after having a drink.
The following tune, ‘Remind Me’, featuring Teslah and Joefes, continues the moving presence found early on in the EP.
Teslah conveys love through her lyrics while effortlessly harmonizing with the beats to steer her platform.
The song portrays romantic vibes of falling in love, a feeling almost everyone wants to experience in their lifetime.
‘Mbona Unashout’ and ‘Mambo Ni Mengi’ close out the EP after ‘You’, ‘Love me’ and ‘Control’, offering the most distinct changes from the first half of the project.
The former serves as a beautifully written ballad, giving Salaton a stage to show off his voice over a subtle drop.
The latter, however, kicks up a different kind of energy, with positive vibes of how to keep pushing since “Mambo Ni Mengi, masaa ndio machache.”
