Sensational Ugandan vocalist Kenneth Mugabi is slated to stage a massive love fete on this year’s Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022, dubbed ‘Special Valentine.’
We have learnt that the fete which will be held at National Theatre, will see Kenneth Mugabi thrill lovers with a special performance of all his love songs.
Bound to be a once-in-a-lifetime moment, Mugabi, who is popularly known for his soothing ballads, has vowed to give the audience his whole.
Sponsored by Black Market Records, the Uganda National Cultural Council (UNCC), and others, Mugabi’s Valentine Special will see him perform all the love songs off his new album ‘People of the Land’, which he released a few days ago and other songs loved by his fans.
Commenting about the show, Mugabi told our reporters that; “People should expect to experience the Mugabi they have never experienced before. Since this is going to be a special day for lovers, the audience should come ready to indulge in a love-filled ambience.”
Kenneth Mugabi is an award winning Afro-soul artist from Uganda, who recently scooped the Janzi Award for Best Vocalist of the year.
He is inspired by stories of our daily life in relation to the past, present and the future.
He recently won the Hipipo Best Soul Song 2019 award for his sensational song ‘Nkwegomba’, off his highly acclaimed Album titled ‘Ugandan’, released on August 29th, 2019.
The ‘Ugandan’ album is his second studio album following his debut album ‘Kibunomu’ with songs like ‘Naki’, ‘Nambi’ and ‘Kibunomu’.
