Zari Dancers Stage Thrilling Performance At Mengo S.S

Black Market Records artist the Zari Dancers Africa thrilled students at Mengo S.S in Kampala after they staged a very energetic live performance.

The Zari Dancers Africa, who are famously known for their popular videos ‘Kelewa’ and ‘Dike’, left many people in the audience staring agape after the astounding performance.

The Zari Dancers had been invited to perform at a thanks giving ceremony for candidates who are to sit final exams this year and the ceremony was attended by students from over 7 Catholic founded schools.

Besides doing their reverberating jams ‘Kelewa’ and ‘Dike’, the Zari Dancers also performed dance tracks they have over time done for several top Ugandan musicians, among them being ‘Katonda’ by pastor Wilson Bugembe, ‘Dike’, ‘Kanzunzu’ by Fik fameica, among others.

Signed to Black Market Records, the Zari Dancers Africa is a multi-talented Ugandan dance group that was officially launched on December 17^th, 2018, with a concert that was held at Big Zone in Nansana, where they are based.

The group initially started as a simple idea by four youths namely;  Zaina (Zari), Josephine (DVJ Nagi Tams), Mathew (Mc Mist) and Sauda in 2013, when they began gathering kids in ghettos and organized them into a dance group in a bid to prevent them from engaging  criminal activities.

 The idea became a reality when they discovered that the kids could dance, sing and make comedy skits.

 The Zari Dancers have since then worked with several famous artists among them: Nina Roz, Mbuzi Gang, Daddy Andre, Jose Chameleone, David Lutalo (Onsanula), Daxx Kartel (Omupangisa), Aziz Azion, Mesach Semakula (Onkuba), Pastor Wilson Bugembe,  among others.

In 2021, they featured in many Black Market Songs that include: Bambi (Mbuzi Gang), This Boy (Angella Katatumba), For You (Shakira Shakiraa), Bwoti (Daddy Andre ft Fik Fameica) and Call Me by Junior Gentle.
