Bad Girl Review; Swat Matire, Shekinah Karen And Fathermoh Team Up For A New Project.

By Brenda Ochwald. Raw, real, and unfiltered, “Bad Girl” is the diss track to end all diss tracks. This upbeat dance-worthy bop features Swat Matire, Shekinah Karen and Fathermoh letting loose and having a heated conversation on how “bad” Shekinah Karen is. According to the lyrics the lady seems to be dating Swat Matire but she has deep feelings for Fathermoh. Swat takes on the first verse accusing Shekinah of cheating on him and lying that she has not man. This upsets both guys. In the chorus Swat and Fathermoh argue with Shekinah as she denies knowing Fathermoh and being a bad girl. The second verse takes twist when Fathermoh tries to ignore Shekinah but she tells him that Swat isn’t her love but the latter is and she’d want to marry him. A mix of gengetone and hip-hop, “Bad Girl” has the catchy hook and beat to make you want to dance. Plus, its empowering and strong lyrics would suit any “I’m over dating drama” playlist. Inspired by modern music, gengetone, so it’s not surprising that Bad Girl give us life and will surely become an instant classic. Nande Boyz Return With Witty Single, “Filter”: Watch The Visuals

By Brenda Ochwald One of the most exciting songs (genre included) out right now is Nande Boyz’s ‘Filter’, which has a “safe” visuals and a catchy audio. From ‘Souci’ to this release, Nande Boyz have seemingly become more forward or aggressive in their music. The duo sing about ladies they’ve met online, chatted with and have had their pictures sent to the boy but then they meet them in person, it seems like dames do not resemble the pictures they sent. Here is where the title “Filter” comes in, and they sing; “Mbona kama kwenye photo anaonekana ni mrembo sana. Hivi we hujui filter…” (Why is it on the photo you appear so beautiful. Don’t you know it’s filters…” If you like this record, check out their EP. The six-track project is titled ‘Safari’ where the boys talk about different instances of their lives and features on artist, Keliah. The Ep consists of: Safari Souci Panadol It’s Okay ft Keliah Tumewakera Filter The song was directed by Allan Soja and produced by Pakii. The song’s “Coming Soon” tag got premiered two months ago and fans have been patiently waiting for the colourful video to drop.
